Helen Schubert (Reception/Administration)

When you walk into the office of YVV, the first person you will meet is Helen. A polished professional with an air of grace and humility. She is the first point of contact for the church and the “everything you need to know” person to go to.

Helen’s day is easily filled. She busily receives and directs all the incoming calls and emails, while also helping people with their enquiries and providing secretarial support to the pastors, staff, and volunteer groups within YVV.

One would say Helen has a gift of administration; from general typing to creating and updating church information. From ensuring that the Information Table is well stocked, to creating the newsletter each week and distributing it via email; creating and updating PowerPoint slide presentations each week for the Sunday service; editing of the weekly sermon and putting it on the YVV website; creating and updating the church website and ensuring that it is kept up to date with current events and information. Organising appointments for Prayer Ministry and preparing rosters and record keeping for various groups and teams.

Helen helps organise conferences and events including advertising and creating material for them. She books venues and guest speakers, and handles most of the related finances.

Her thoughtfulness can also be seen in the way she arranges cards and gifts for those that are unwell, grieving, or celebrating a wonderful occasion. She also makes sure hampers are provided for brand new mums.

Guess we could say the list is never ending….

Outside of YVV Helen enjoys, 4 wheel driving, fishing, walking, painting and catching up with family and friends.

Helen works in the office from Monday to Thursday.
